Brief Biography
Born in Toronto, Canada, Tori Foster earned a B.F.A. in New Media and an M.F.A. in Documentary Media at Ryerson University. Her practice focuses on emergent patterns and behavior in urban and natural environments and encompasses a variety of media including video, new media, robotics, and installation. Foster is the recipient of numerous awards including research and production grants from the Canada Council for the Arts. She has shown work in 16 countries worldwide.
