Brief Biography
Stephanie Orozco is an adjunct faculty member in the Child and Adolescent Development Department. She received her B.A. in Linguistics with minors in Education and Disability Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She then received her M.A. in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and Change from Pacific Oaks College.
Stephanie worked with young children for 10 years, primarily as an early educator, before transitioning to her current full-time position as a Program Officer at First 5 Los Angeles. At First 5, Stephanie manages a portfolio of several different grants promoting early childhood advocacy and systems change for equitable outcomes in LA County. Stephanie manages grants related to funding the collection of early childhood wellbeing data across LA County as well as funding to promote and advance the voices and needs of home-based child care providers.
On her spare time, Stephanie enjoys traveling, reading, and caring for her rescue cat, Harvey.
