Brief Biography
Scott Appelrouth is a Professor in the Department of Sociology. His published research spans several areas including music, social movements, politics, religion, and education. He has also co-authored a 3-volume, multi-edition series in sociological theory published by Sage. In addition to his teaching and research, he is currently the associate director of CSUN’s Center for Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (CARE). As associate director he has collaborated with numerous faculty and university administrators across the country as well as with non-profit agencies to secure federal and state grants.
