Brief Biography
Ryan currently serves as the Senior Coordinator of the Black House & Student Support Services. Dr. Mason received his B.A. in Sociology with a Minor in Pan African Studies as well as an M.A. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from CSUN and his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California. Over the last 11 years, Ryan has focused on access and student success while promoting equitable strategies to enhance diverse student experiences. As a CSUN Alum, he believes in the power of patience, mentorship and support providing opportunity to transform one's trajectory. As a first-generation college graduate, he looks forward to assisting in the campus' efforts to increase safe and equitable environments in which students can safely develop strong identity formation both academically and culturally.
