Brief Biography
My name is Laura Velazquez Garcia and I am an early education advocate, professional, and professor. I earned both my Bachelor's degree and my Master's degree at CSUN--I am a proud Matador. I was born in Mexico and I have experienced being a DREAMER and an AB540 student. I love my culture and I am grateful for all of my struggles and accomplishments. I like to incorporate personal experiences into teaching, and I enjoy learning all about different backgrounds. The yoga and the outdoors are my outlet, I hike daily and I love to get lost in nature. My bucket list includes traveling and visiting different parts of the world.nIf you see me on campus, please stop and say "hello"--I love meeting and talking with students.
