Brief Biography
Emmy Award Nominee, American Video Award Nominee, and Gypsy Robe Awardee by the Professional Dancers Society, Joanne DiVito catapulted her successful ballet, Broadway and 25-year choreography career into dynamic roles in business, education and nonprofit service where she was a Dance Agent and the Director of Career Transition For Dancers. She now reviews Dance/Theatre for L.A. Dance Chronicle, judges young talent for the Spotlight Awards at the Music Center and is an Audio Describer for the Blind in theatres around Los Angeles (Pantages, Segerstrom, Music Center). Joanne’s passion for dance, its technique, history, and education of performance since 2007 as Adjunct Professor at California State University–Northridge has been a constant source of inspiration and joy.
