Brief Biography
After earning a B.A. (Psychology) from Carleton College, I earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychological Studies in Education (now called Human Development) from UCLA's Graduate School of Education & Information Studies, and completed a postdoc in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I was a Lecturer in Early Childhood Education at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia for three years before moving to CSUN. At CSUN, I have served on the Academic Technology Committee, Faculty Senate, and the CSBS College Personnel Committee, the Chair of the Child and Family Studies Center Advisory Council, and the co-facilitator of the Early Care and Education Affinity Group. I am currently a Senator-at-Large and a Senate-elected representative to the Educational Resources Committee (ERC). Beyond CSUN, I have served as a Director on the Board of the National Association for Family Child Care, the Co-Facilitator of the Child Care and Early Education Policy Research Consortium (CCEEPRC) Home-Based Child Care Working Group, and a member of the CCEEPRC Steering Committee. I have also served on the LA County Child Care Planning Committee. Since July of 2022 I have served CSUN's Office of Institutional Research as the Associate Director of Academic Analytics.
