Fatmana K. Deniz's research focuses on creating culturally and linguistically inclusive learning environments that promote student autonomy and self-determination and preparing teachers with skills to implement autonomy-supportive teaching practices. Her work emphasizes equitable and socially just education for all students, with a particular focus on multilingual learners with disabilities. Before joining CSUN, Dr. Deniz taught elementary and middle school students, including those with disabilities, multilingual learners, and twice-exceptional students.
