I was born and raised in Boyle Heights, CA and I am a proud product of the Los Angeles Unified School District. My educational journey has not been linear, which has informed my pedagogical practices. My positionality as a first-generation, cisgender, and Latinx Student of Color raised by working-class immigrant parents significantly informs my professional work and aspirations. I seek to empower students but recognize that this requires institutional support that Black, Indigenous, and Students of Color historically do not receive due to systematic racism and discrimination. I utilize my extensive experiences in K-16 counseling, teaching, and mentorship to teach and create self-sustaining environments where students succeed as innovative thinkers.

I welcome opportunities for students to talk to me about graduate school, career goals, overall well-being, and course progress.
