Brief Biography
I am a Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at CSUN, and I have taught at CSUN for 15 years. I hold a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Wyoming and a B.S. in Geology from Southern Methodist University. I teach classes that include U100 The Freshman Seminar, GE-level Physical Geology, a number of courses for Geology majors, and specialty courses for graduate students in Geology.
My honors at CSUN include being recognized as the Jerome Richfield Memorial Scholar in 2006, and most recently, I was the recipient of CSUN's Outstanding Faculty Award in 2020.
