Brief Biography
Casey Thornton is a California native, long-time ASL user, an alumna of the Deaf Studies department at CSUN, and now works in the department as an instructor. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from CSUN, she continued her education doing her graduate coursework at Gallaudet University, earning both her Master’s degree and PhD in Linguistics. In addition to being an instructor, she is also a wife to her wonderful husband and a new mom to an awesome little girl. In her spare time, she enjoys playing board games with her friends and family and watching too much reality TV.
