Brief Biography
I am a Digital Services Librarian at the Oviatt Library, focusing on issues of Scholarly Communication, open access, digital publishing, and ScholarWorks. My research interests include "information pathologies" such as information overload, privacy encroachment, the commodification of private data, and the like. I have written two books, the first on Massive Digital Libraries (Google Books, HathiTrust, Internet Archive), the second on Big Data and its impact on libraries. A third book is in progress about the impact of digital information technology on users.
