Brief Biography
Aida Mahmud is a developmental psychologist that teaches numerous psychology and child development courses at various academic campuses. Her research interests focus on identity development and in particular intergenerational examination of psychological well-being, identity, and achievement motivation among Iranian Americans. She has also conducted research in regards to factors influencing the academic pipeline of Latino youth, as well as undocumented students and challenges they face.
